Watermelon Popsicles

if any watermelon is still in the fridge after a few days, we blend with some lime juice and then strain and freeze into pospsicles.  great to add in some mint too.

Teatime Today: helado de palta y lucuma

Little Brother wanted to make ice cream today. We came up with the ingredients together

 

 

 

What we mixed:
1 can of coconut milk
1 avocado
2 tablespoons of lucuma powder
dash of cinnamon
dash of vanilla 

What will we mix next time? Fun!

Little Brother's first time out for "ice cream". We went to Sustain. What a beautiful bowl of goodness to share! And an awesome way to spend an hour together hugging, giggling.  This is joy. Perhaps a monthly date? Bowls made in designated space and very low risk of cross-contamination with peanut butter.  There is no dairy, gluten or egg (well, maybe gluten in one granola).  Please note that the nice cream is made with almonds.

Honeychild gave us some mini containers for individual servings.  If Big Brother wants ice cream at Famer's Market, then Little Brother can bring along "matching" safe ice cream for him

This ice cream is a family staple.  It's everything I love about lucuma in Chile, mixed with everything I love about warm, fall pumpkin flavors. This is such an easy pumpkin Thanksgiving Day treat without much preparation fuss. I simply blend the ingredients in my Thermomix and then the mixture goes into our ice cream maker.
