Teatime Today: watermelon lime juice

With Thermomix, I can turn veggies and fruit into juice or smoothies with true ease.  We had so much yellow watermelon this week, so mason jars of juice came outside to pool with us to combat the Houston heat.  While Boys put their swim suits on, I blended watermelon with fresh squeeze lime: 1 minute, speed 10.  I infuse with fresh herbs.  No complaining in the heat this way!

Little Brother is curious to give it a try

Back to red watermelon.  Thermomix can do most anything, this is just one of them.  And since Thermomix is always on your counter, and virtually self-cleans, you can make things one after the next. And you can make this juice on the way out the door.

Teatime Today: coffee frappe

Today for tea time, Papi made us coffee frappes. I requested something icy.  I only occasionally drink coffee these days. Today was one of those days. It’s summer. It’s hot.  He added to TM bowl: 200 grams ice cubes and 200 grams frozen coffee/milk cubes, leftover coffee from the morning and a drop of maple syrup. He blended the mix for 45 seconds on speed 9 and then topped with some raw cacao powder.  After a moment of relaxing, rinsed the Thermomix bowl and made some hummus.

Teatime Today: homemade Thermomix coconut milk smoothie with raw cacao and cardamom

Today I made a bi-weekly batch of Thermomix coconut milk.  Instead of rinsing the Thermomix after making the coconut milk, I continued with an afternoon cold beverage.  250 grams of freshly made coconut milk, raw cacao powder, collagen, cinnamon, ice and a drop of Doterra cardamom oil. Refreshing and energizing! In the same Thermomix bowl where I made coconut milk and a beverage, I'll make grass-fed meatballs and steamed sprouted rice.  And before bed I'll grind my own flours and make waffle batter for tomorrow's breakfast. I love you, Thermomix!

Teatime Today: Green Juice

It's gloriously simple to prepare juice in the Thermomix.  Today I needed some green juice. So in went into the Thermomix bowl: kale, dandelion greens, red apple, cucumber, celery and lemon juice along with a handful of ice cubes.  I blended on speed 9 for 15 seconds. Then I added room temperature water, the same quantity that I wanted to drink.  I blended the juice on speed 9 for 1-2 minutes.  And with very little effort, I strained the juice using the Thermomix basket into this glass.  Cheers! This all took 4 minutes.
