Every year for my Birthday my family makes me a requested pie. I usually leave them all alone for a few hours while they bake for me. Thermomix chops the nuts, seeds and coconut for the crust, heats the chocolate with coconut cream for the filling and whips the coconut cream into the whipped topping. Don't you just love how everything happens in the Thermomix bowl? The ease of preparation pairs with the ease of clean-up. Just add soap and water and mix to clean-up all the chocolate. Better yet, go for no waste: add some milk for a latte or smoothie beforehand. My boys have grown up with Thermomix and homemade food. I feel that the Thermomix stimulates their interest and participation in the kitchen. This chocolate pie recipe has been adapted to fit the Thermomix. This pie is a family favorite. It's so simple to make, try it for your next celebration!

Weekly meal with Thermomix: steamed rice, veg and fish
![]() |
A favorite Thermomix meal: steamed rice, veg and fish. Everything made in one go, one space and turns out perfect every time |
![]() |
Set Thermomix and forget. I get everything in place, take my boys out for a bike ride and return: 22 minutes, Varoma temp, speeed 3. That's it! |
![]() |
Big Brother chooses not to eat fish. I store in fridge mason jars of Thermomix steamed and shredded chicken and hard -boiled eggs for such moments |
![]() |
Baby Brother loves this meal. He likes the flavored broth in little bowl for dipping |

Packing Papi's lunch for following day |

Look how clean the Thermomix bowl is after cooking this meal. I just fill with water and some dish soap and spin blades for 30 seconds to finish cleaning |
Switch up protein: today it's cod |
See how veggies steam under fish. The parchment paper holds the sauce on the top tray |
Scrumptious Saturdays
perfect market watermelon |
new discovery: hibiscus greens |

Plant It Forward dandeloin greens and hibiscus leaves. These leaves added a lemony addition to our warm coconut broth |
Boys planted a "hibiscus tree" to their nature village in back yard |

preparing long beans |
Time, temperature, speed all calibrated. The blade spins counter-clockwise as to not chop while stir-fying. My Thermomix boyfriend is a genius! |

In go to the Thermomix bowl: fresh herbs from the garden and produce from the farmers market |

Thermomix chops, cooks and blends all in the same bowl with the push of buttons |

And then it self-cleans |
Veggies, herbs, olive oil, white wine and salt. Homemade and no preservatives. Store in fridge for added flavor boosting |

Teatime Today: homemade Thermomix coconut milk smoothie with raw cacao and cardamom
Today I made a bi-weekly batch of Thermomix coconut milk. Instead of rinsing the Thermomix after making the coconut milk, I continued with an afternoon cold beverage. 250 grams of freshly made coconut milk, raw cacao powder, collagen, cinnamon, ice and a drop of Doterra cardamom oil. Refreshing and energizing! In the same Thermomix bowl where I made coconut milk and a beverage, I'll make grass-fed meatballs and steamed sprouted rice. And before bed I'll grind my own flours and make waffle batter for tomorrow's breakfast. I love you, Thermomix!
