Silky Cauliflower Soup

It’s so simple to make delicious and silky soups with Thermomix. There are several Cookidoo guided recipes that will walk you step-by-step through such soups. It’s like having a personal chef, yet you get to enjoy the process and product. Tonight, I made a simple cauliflower soup I have been making for years. There really is no recipe. Thermomix sautées an onion in some ghee. Then a head of cauliflower along with water and homemade veggie stock paste is added. Everything cooks while I tend to chores. When Thermomix signals, I return to blend the soup to this silky texture. Fresh farmers market produce turns into perfect and inexpensive meals made effortlessly. Then, there is little to clean up because a drop of soap with some water and blends and cleans the bowl.

Teatime Today: Apple Cider Donuts

We are fully enjoying these apple cider donuts for Christmas afternoon snack before the Tejas Farm turkey goes in the oven.  Original recipe found here.  While not a Thermomix recipe, I love the ingredients of everything on Feastingforfruit.com.  I also love that the Thermomix simplifies baking: weighs ingredients precisely without using measuring cups, mills fresh flour, heats coconut oil from solid to liquid, and blends perfectly
