Teatime Today: Matcha Latte

Outside after drop-on a beautiful, spring morning. The fragrance of jasmine surrounds this lovely daily indulgence. When taken to go for the early morning trip to school, a nose can become spotted with green sips from the travel mug.

375 grams homemade almond milk with cinnamon, matcha and collagen
4 minutes, 80 degrees c, speed 4
froth, speed 9
Thermomix is my café!

Hot today, maybe with ice and a date tomorrow.  The weather will dictate.

Sourdough bread from Angela's Oven

Allergic Mom occasionally eats gluten.  When she does she enjoys the sourdough from Angela's Oven. It is free of both yeast and sugar.  A call on Friday to the bakery allows for the bread to be available at the farmers market sliced.  Slicing wheat bread at home is something no longer done as it generates all kinds of allergen contamination stress.

Butternut Squash Soup

Guided cooking with Thermomix allows for the easiest and most delicious soups.
Like this butternut apple soup. Feel free to add in spices and flavors according to your palate’s needs.
This soup is a beautiful example of the flavor punch of the Thermomix homemade veggie stock paste.

Imagine weighing, chopping, sautéing and blending all in one bowl. Did I mention that Thermomix self-cleans?!

I happen to get my veggies at the farmers market so besides the ease of preparation and clean-up, I have full control of what goes in my food.

And you could even steam some eggs or chicken in the Varoma to utilize the steam from cooking the soup

Tea time today: iced cacao latte

350 grams homemade almond milk, 4 cubes of ice, raw cacao powder, cinnamon and cardamom. All blended on speed 9 for about a minute or so.
My Thermomix is my personal coffee shop, playground, source of creativity and nourishment. Cheers to 10 years of living well with Thermomix!

Scrumptious Saturdays

Is there anything better than the farmers market? No! This salad is fully fresh and full of life force.
Good for the earth and good for our souls.  And Allergic Mom discovered that she can eat pecans.  It was a bad/good mistake!
All from the farmers market, minus the avocado. I love sweet potato topped with Vitaclay-cooked fresh black beans and a side of sautéed kale-I make a batch of fresh beans once a week for meals like this and for taco Tuesday. It's even better topped with green apple cabbage kraut for nutrition boost and contrast. Do I always use my Thermomix? Usually I do use it for at least one or two components of a meal. Sometimes I don’t though. And that's ok. This meal came together in its own, simple way.
